Life span?

Howdy all,
Just test rode my 1st triumph rocket (2005) and fell in love with it!
I'm just on the fence about stretching my budget for this instead of perhaps a Honda Valkrie or Yamaha Royal Star, (both famous for their longevity).

What is the typical lifespan of a 2005 rocket well-maintained?

Welcome to the forum! I ride a '14 Touring so I can't answer your question; but I would suggest you ride all three and see which one gives you the Biggest Grin.. I know mine is now permanent... Since I'm also into classic cars, I know anything well maintained has a strong longevity streak.

I second @Michael_G - the key, as with most things (even our marriages) is "well maintained".

First I would not think an 05 Rocket would be terribly expensive but secondly the Rocket is a more unique machine. Ride them all and let your heart tell you what to do.

Rockets are well over built and will last forever with normal good maintenance. My 2006 has 48,000 miles so far. No problems. Well one. The Avon Cobra tires wear out every 10 to 15 thousand miles.

I put 128,000K on my 05 before replacing with a 14 Touring 49,000 K. Both are still going strong.

Hello Cristofero and welcome from Virginia. My 2014 R3T has 74K miles so far. It runs strong and true. Keep on on the maintenance it they keep you going.
