Jacking up Bike

Has anyone jacked up the Rocket with a piece of ply on a flat motorcycle jack the kind that is about 18in long x 10in wide. I don't want to be messing around making plates or buying new Jack's as the one I have has served me well with all my other bikes I can't see a problem if the weight is distributed over the large area of the flat jack so if anyone does use this method of jacking up can you let me know your thoughts please as I said I am not going to buy this and that I want to know if anyone uses this method that is all I am interested in Thank you

Just very nerve racking the first time. The bike seems to grow bigger the higher you get it up.
