So I was riding along today and for no reason whatsoever my 2020 R3 GT shut off as I was coasting along. I had pulled the clutch in to coast to a red light. I was able to restart the bike as I was coasting by pushing the starter button. Thought that was very strange but kept on my way for few more miles till I got home.

Once home, I washed her tried starting her up to put her away….nothing. The display, the lights, nothing is powering up. The only sign of life is the little red alarm light on the display. I checked the battery and put it on a charger, still nothing. Checked all the fuses, all good. It’s like the ignition switch crapped out. Unfortunately,it appears you have dismantle half the bike to remove the ignition switch.

Any ideas on a possible cause?

Thanks

Loose battery bolts.
U could try to put the key on the rear fender left side
(as manual says) to see if that helps to start.
