Had an stock seat I wasn't using so I thought I'd try to make a gunfighter style solo. Took about 3 hours with a rotary tool and staple gun. Has a few wrinkles but without cutting and resewing I'll have to live with them.

Great Job, I purchased a longhaul seat from one of our members here this week and discovered I will need to make some mods as well. Never thought about the roto tool. thanks

Nice job on the seat.
What did ya do, just strip the cover and foam off
then draw the outline on the seat pan and start cuttin?
Turned out good.
Makes ya feel pretty good when you got something "different" you made huh?
Something not everybody could just buy and bolt on...

Awesome job! I'm all about home made.
I did, however ruin a Honda shadow seat by trying to shave some of the foam out of it. You seem to have a handle on it, though. :D

You got it skip. Removed back half of staples to remove cover. Cut foam with filet knife and seat pan with rotary tool[dremel]. Stretched cover to remove as much wrinkles as possible.Restapled with stainless staples. Used a modest amount of profanity throughout the process!
