I have a 2006 rocket 3 and the clutch pull arm broke and put a mark/groove in the pressure plate so after reading a few comments on here I ordered from fowlers the pull arm, thrust bearing, washers, pressure plate, and a new arm to go to the cable.
I ordered the newer pull arm and got sent the old one and got a pressure plate that had a hole so big all the bit, pull arm, thrust bearing would fall through if fitted.
The other problem is why is the thrust bearing and washers so big on the pull arm.
I have attached a photo
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The early Rockets (like 04/05) had a needle roller bearing, compatible pull rod and a small hole pressure plate, from then on they went to ball bearing, different pull rod and larger hole plate to suit.
Looks like yours got mixed up.. pics of your old ones, and the new stuff sent to you?

Its good to have knowledgeable people like R-3-R turbo you won't go wrong listening to anything he says. Unless it involves sex and animals :D

ah warp taught me everything I know, but not everything he knows. He's still holding out on that midgets & amputees site of his.

meanwhile here are some informative pics for OP :)

Now if you have an older engine (#249177 or older) you can of course upgrade to the newer revision of the parts but you will need to upgrade all the parts - pull rod, bearing, pressure plate.

Great thanks for the excellent reply, this is exactly what I thought.
So I can still change over to the newer version, ???? Is this correct.
Would you know the part numbers of the new parts
