Put on the Jardines and need the torque settings for where the header attaches to the head.
I know MD said start at 10 foot lbs and work up to 20-25.
My problem is my foot lbs torque wrench is too big and starts over 25lbs.

I have a new torque wrench (smaller) that measures Inch lbs..
what would it be in inch lbs..?

would 12" = 1 foot mean that 10 lb/foot = 0.85 lb inch?

or like said 120lb/inch

am not so sure it wouldn't be 0.85 lb/inch...

what settings does your small wrench have?... that would make it more obvious

torque

fooled around with it and also read some instructions and jrhorton is right use 12 as the factor..
Thanks guys

Do be careful with the setting you are quoting from MD. I know he has revised his quote on the torque amount. I am not sure of the final opinion or technique used but do remember there were some early problems.

I did 15 lbs yesterday.. i think that will be ok. I do remember MD saying 20-25 with 2 gaskets on each cylinder. thanks for that info. Glad i didnt go more.
