Harley Finalizes MV Agusta Sale

I'll bet the real reason for selling Agusta was because they couldn't get them to leak oil. :p

The real reason is Harley is losing their ass at the moment and needs the cash more than the diversity. ;)

Of course, they won't use the cash to do anything fresh. They'll simply do the same thing they've done for 50 years. They'll polish the turd with enough slick advertising that they'll have the poor bastards that buy one of their bikes thinking he's Peter Fonda by the time he's leathered up and riding out of the lot.

So that's how they get 2010 $ for 1940 technology, make it seem COOL
through advertising propaganda. LOL ;)

i think harley is running out of people to buy their bikes, the same old guys trade their bikes and get a new one, younger guys if they buy a crusier they get anything but a harley.
What is harley going to do when all the old customers die??:D

What is harley going to do when all the old customers die??:D

They will take their cheapest bike, take off some chrome, paint it black, and call it a new model marketed to a younger crowd. They will tell their potential customers that they want it because it fits their image and don't have to conform. They can be just as unique as they already were while secretly conforming. They are now using the Hot Topic sales model. "All you need to do to be unique is buy our stuff."
