Kind of bored this morning and did some research on the oil filter. Same story as in 2005. Guess who makes the oil filter still for Triumphs. WIX in poland. Of course you can run down to your local parts store and buy the same filter A WIX 51358XP only drawback is the filter you buy here in the states is made here in the states. The only difference is you do not have a Truimph sticker on it. Sad is it not:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Just saying the filters are the same but cost is not. Not a competition on which is the best filter to use. Just trying to help out the folks who like to buy OEM parts. I do run Wix in all my vehicles. Including this IMG_0566 (2).JPG Bought new but has seen a lot of hours. Runs great. Ran Wix filter on a 2005 bonneville after figuring why pay $15.00 dollars when i can go down to the local parts store and buy the same filter minus the Triumph sticker for $10.00 Same for the Rocket.;);););););););)

Here's a real bargin for you, all the way from China.
I mailed them and told them they were joking as there is another advert on Trade Me for Rocket filters at NZ$20.00, US$13.00.

NZ$48.15 is US$32.09 ! :roll::roll::roll:

Bought the most expensive, "Gold" NAPA Auto Parts fuel filter I could find, #3032, and then found the small print on the box said, "made by WIX". Thankfully I had already installed the very same but much cheaper Wix Brand filter. So, the NAPA filter is on the shelf and ready for installation after another 20,000 miles, give or take. :):banghead:

PS I bought the NAPA Gold filter only because I saw a post saying the WIX filters are, "sheep dung" or words to that effect. Well, I have 7,000 miles on the so-called, 'sheep's dung' and it has worked fine. :)

When I was researching oil filters I found some use paper innards some use a combo of paper synthetic media and the one I chose purolator boss (it’s longer) full synthetic media (no paper) i really think the wix the triumph oem filters are obviously fine to use the trick, change them as they say. The wix for our bikes is also listed as synthetic media. Purolator also Mann Hummel imagine that.
