2018 Triumph Rocket3 Roadster
Hello all. I'm Dave from Berks County PA. Tomorrow I take delivery on my brand new 2018 Rocket Roadster, and feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning :D.

My two wheel background started in the early 70's on a Rupp Roaster mini bike (was hooked instantly). I made my way through a few dirt bikes, and eventually to my first road bike ...... a 1968 Triumph TR6 (my Dad's). He gifted it to me after my HS graduation, as I was entering the Navy in August (one great summer). I retired from the Military in 2015, after the best 35 year (active, and reserve) ride of my life. I currently work for a drug/alcohol treatment facility, as a dispatcher in the transportation department.

I had a twenty year break from riding while I was raising a family, and started back up when all the kids were grown, and out of the house. In 2008 I took the MSF course then bought a new Bonneville T100. I still have the Bonny, and also acquired a '98 Thunderbird, a '11 Thunderbird Storm, and finally a '13 Speed Triple. I recently sold the Storm.......thought I had too many bikes in the garage. All leading to my finding a "Peach" of a deal on a new 2018 Rocket Roadster from National Powersports in New Hampshire.

I've always had a thing for the Rocket going back to 2008, when I first got back the bug for two wheels........ Call it an itch that I just had to scratch. Saying I'm excited to finally pilot the Beast is a HUGE understatement (as all of you know, and I'm soon to discover). Can't wait to get started on the journey.

I've recently discovered this site, and have been lurking for a few weeks trying to decide if I should purchase the Beast. The membership on this site helped me in my decision to take the plunge. THANK YOU! Your collective knowledge, and passion for the Beast made the decision quite easy. I hope in the near future to dive full on and make a contribution to this site!

Thanks again,

Miss Pa. very much, moved to Mass in 07’ for work but can’t stand socialist taxachusetts. By any chance do you know a guy who drives around your are in a Lotus 7 replica?

Great entrance, Dave, and excellent choice of motor!
WELCOME to ya, from WA State!

Hi Dave and welcome from western Washington. It's great to hear from a fellow Navy veteran. I enlisted i 1967 and retired in 2003, getting a commission somewhere along the way but also with a few years in the Navy Reserve. My son is Army, taking command at Aberdeen Proving ground in Jan and is also a Rocket rider. I've ridden many miles in PA over the years so I'll look forward to riding up to see you one day. You're going to love your Rocket.
