Anyone changed there front tyre im after a super sticky front tyre. The standard ones not up to the job keeps slipping away under hard braking and ive stepped it.Going to raise the forks 5mm and want a super sticky tyre.Let the top mechanic at the dealer have a blast and he lost it as well so it aint just me its knackerd. He did say its supposed to be a cruiser though.Come on lads give me some of your knowledge i need that tyre grip not mileage

I have never struggled with front end grip under braking . Very strange .

Dont know of any sticky tyres out there .

Perhaps its your riding

I've been impressed with the braking, and have had no slips with hard slow-downs. But then I came from a Harley. What was your previous bike?

you aint trying hard enough me ode. looks like ill be struggling on the tyre front.Mechanic commented onthe nice handling of me bike aint botherd about the speed of it Its far quicker than ill ever be able to ride it.What tyre pressure do you run in the front me ode. do you think easing it of a bit would help.

Got through front brake pads in 6000 miles , use them hard

Instead of using your front brakes , just bang her down through the box , 5th to 1st should slow you down

How many mile s are on your front tyre

There are plenty more front tire selections than rear. My last stats are that Avon (Venom), Bridgestone, Dunlop and Metzeler have a 150/80R17 front tire. Probably more options if you look. I'm guessing you want the sticky Avons.

Also in addition to lowering your front, if you're looking for more sport like performance, you'd best get longer, better performing rear shocks to raise your rear end and keep the suspension tracked to the road as well as give more cornering clearance. I put in 13inch Progressive 440's. They really improve cornering performance but now I wish I went a full inch longer with 13.5 instead.

Been to the performance tyre specialist been on the internet and i cant get one.Avon make one but its only H rated nobody only metzler make one.Changed the rear suspension already rocketman.Like me dealer said its supposed to be a ****ing cruiser.

Has the grip problem only happened recently , as in the last 1000 miles , or from the start .

Perhaps you have a bit of a bad tyre as the tread has worn away
