I just had the seal replaced on my right fork. I'm going to change the oil on the left as the right now has a fresh change. I have the fork off and ready to work on. Any advice on emptying the old oil and refilling....to match other fork.

If full compression is required...are there any tricks for doing so.

I have large clamps etc. That was going to be my routine. Cut a 2x4 to 6" lengths, bore recessed hole (1/3 through the 2x4 with a hole saw) to match end diameters. Bore a smaller hole inside the larger hole on top, to allow filling. Attach 2x4's to upper and lower ends and clamp from protruding sides of 2x4.

Any other ideas?

Check the manual for proper volume. Unless you have the Triumph tool the sucks the excess out you need to add the specified volume and then work the fork leg to remove trapped air. Other than that sounds like you're doing OK.
