I am looking for the bracket that fits on the rear fender that will allow me to install the Triumph touring seat on my 2005 Classic. I believe Roadster models take the same bracket

Yes all Rockets (not speaking for the R3T) Use that bracket. Its the same bracket that is attattch by pop rivets to the pillon on the two piece seat that came with you Rocket Standard. Classic models started in 2006. Anyway maybe you can order the seat retainer spike for yours if you still have it?

I am very new to the Rocket. I am also not home now to look at my small add on passenger seat. So if I understand you correct: I can use the bracket from small seat for this

OK so for Stolly and you so it is even clearer then.
first the touring seat with the latch and spike.
the touring bracket with the spike and the three mounting holes mounted on a bike
Now I am only a Polock but below is the single seat and the passenger seat upside down things might start looking the same
and now so as not to confuse anyone here is just the passenger seat dang the bracket on the bottom looks familiar.
now if it did not have them there pop rivets (circled in yeller) as I stated above and one took two of the rubber bumpers (circled in Orange) off the passenger seat they would fit in the holes on the bracket. Then flop her over on the bike and using the same bolts three bolts on the bike that hold said custom only made for the touring seat bracket on (marked in light blue) plus as I said get the seat spike and mount it on the passenger seat plate you just drilled off. I imagine they as I stated might be the same bracket. But oh well I digress
Warp is right the pillion pad comes off easily and the bracket is identical to the spiked version. The spike is actually a Triumph part so you can buy one and pop rivet it in place or get one off another seat - they are used to lock the front section down as well.
The seats work perfectly OK without the rear bracket or spike. The front one holds it securely anyway and the back section rubber bump stops contact the rear rim exactly the same. Over time the rubber bump stoppers do leave a mark either way.
And a touring seat with no spikes and no brackets like ishrub stated, this particular stock touring seat has been rebuilt and recovered and now just sits on the wall looking at the single seat Corbin that replaced it hoping for a pretty pillion rider but it ain’t happening, widowmaker maker is a street fighter now and only carries me, so until someone wants a new seat it hangs
