I've found a man that can
Aman that will replicate the end cans for the R3, he will do an exact copy in polished S Steel. However i have a quandry and wondered if any one had tried this or had some feed back.

I'm looking to make a cool deep noise with this mod, i currently run with by pass and TOR's

Do i go for shortened copies or same lengh, both versions to be just hollow pipes (not guts wadding etc)

if this a good idea, will it harm the engine running

appreciate your thoughts

That sort of setup would break windows, my TOR's rattle my carport and it's still rattling after I switch off. You will have back pressure issues as well as resonance noise at certain revs. You will need to tune it to suit the pipes and will probably lose power. Tor's are great IMO, but if you made provision for some sort of baffle to create back pressure it might be ok.

I run my Jardines sans baffles, it is deep and loud, so much so it sets off car alarms. I rather like it, but I fear I'm going deaf.

I can only speak from my own expierence.
I made a custom one off drag pipe, because I like the look of it,
and the sound it lets off.

It had NO back pressure,
I lost ALOT of torque.
I installed a baffle and got MOST of my torque back,
but it still only dynoed out at 120 HP.
My next one will go back to the rear axel.
