I made a modified 'claw for my bike. There are K&N filters that can fit under the 'claw, but I don't know the number right off hand (info is at home) Part of the attraction for me was the look. Don't be alarmed by the new sounds you hear that were previously concealed by air box and plumbing. They add to the mystique and menace.

How does the Ram air compare to the K&N?

The RamAir is easier to install, and their kit made for the Rocket has a ready made place to put the ambient air sensor (which is left without a home once all the plumbing to the air box is removed).

If you're concerned first about performance, then perhaps you need the bigger filters and modified claw.
