DYI Cat box

Has anyone tried to gut the cat box themselves? Looks like it would be worth a try. The worst that could happen is you'd have to by a new cat bypass for $350.

It weighs 11.2 # stock, 10 # after gutting and rewelding.

Best to bite the bullet and get the litterbox bypass.

I'd do that JD for a fellow Captain just as... Rockettless Todd?? did with Progressives. I just don't know about your duty laws. I recently bought and sent a golf club to a friend in Tanunda and all I had to pay was the cost and the $25 UPS. He said there was no duty on it when it arrived. I recall that there was for those of you that got shocks from Todd. Does the type of item make the difference?

I'm envolved in radio controlled aircraft and when we send things overseas or to and from Canada, we allways put "repair parts". Evidently the duty is on "new" products and not parts to repair them. Take that for what it's worth...I'm not an authority.
