I have installed running lights on my crash bars but would like to hide the wires inside the bars. Are there any issues I need to be aware of when drilling holes into the bars

Go slow, tape the place you are going to drill. Also make sure that you are not creating a place where water will pool, don't want them to rust out eh?

Be aware that drilling into the crash bars will weaken them... so don't drop the bike!

I have found after cutting or drilling chrome I solder the edge stops rusting
