The hella din socket under the meters is supplied with + after ignition, so it's good. If you don't use this outlet, the wires that feed it are OK.
A little work, but easy!

Thanks, I did look at that when fitting my sat nav, I was Trying to avoid removing all that loom that is tucked away so nicely
 
Conside adding a fuse block to bike. I have a PC8 that has 5 switched and 3 hot taps. The is an electronic 1 that allows you to assign taps
I did have one of those on a Ktm I had. Good thing about the Ktm was it had spare connectors dotted round the bike so you could easily add electrical stuff easily

Not my taste. But I believe that the smaller Darla would look much better and bringing same security - ref. my post #27 of today at : Fork Mounted LEDs - Cool or Not-Cool?
