Is anyone interested in meeting up in Daytona during Bike Week or cruising the following 3 weeks in central Florida?

Daytona Bike Week 2020 = Saturday March 6th - Sunday March 15th.

I'll be coming to Florida on March 5th and departing April 4th and staying near Orlando.

Ace Cafe Orlando has Bike Night on Thursdays and their food is awesome so I'm usually there.

I'm also considering a 3-4 day run to Key West the week of the 23rd as well.

Just FYI...

You are the traveling man! Love it

I might meet up after bike week, but I'm not into crowds, lines, or things like that. My daughter is coming for the weekend of the 13th, then another friend the 21-23, I think, but I'm open after that, keep this thread updated with your whereabouts.

It would be fun to go down and beat up on new Rockets :D

I only saw 3 Rockets there last year but if I had a 2020 I would be taking it to show it off so maybe there will be a few around.

No TTS kit for them yet = easy kill for you! LOL

Will do. I don't like crowds much either. I spend an hour or two tops on Main Street and sometimes just drive through and head north to Ormond Beach.

Sometimes I go up 27, through Ocala Forest, east to the coast, down to Daytona, and then stay at the Broken Spoke until dark to avoid the (^(&)&* horrible Rt4 traffic.

I arrived in Orlando yesterday and installed new LED headlights.

Day 1. Looped north to Ocala Forest, across 40 and down the coast.
Bike was hesitating so I put in some gas treatment to remove any water.
Stalled on Main St Daytona Beach with arrow on oil symbol. No Error light but maybe be it was a tad low? 29D26158-0E09-4F01-9436-C77329DC8FD5.jpeg 2B2E63E9-6E10-45AB-888F-423732B59279.jpeg 3B7F715D-E803-4E18-8FF0-6BA5AD62706C.jpeg 58577A32-AD84-4085-B1BA-4667A97ECC7F.jpeg C4364931-A0EC-4BE2-8DF6-A33487B7730D.jpeg 0D44F8BD-1EE4-4A83-A4D4-5BF7F12ABDEF.jpeg 854D59B9-DE45-4DF1-8256-5E8843ACA629.jpeg B8EB40CE-BC1E-4966-9485-7D80DBE80E76.jpeg 928156D4-54C7-4566-A920-2F3BAFB3C323.jpeg
Added 1/2 Qt and it seemed fine but I pulled into Triumph shop. No error code.

Went up to J&P Cycles to get an oil filter.

Bike stalled again in the absolute worst spot. Left lane in the Orlando construction zone at night with cement barrier where the shoulder should be. It wouldn't start.

Luckily traffic stopped and I was able to push it across three lanes to a spot with 2 feet of shoulder.

I put in the rest of the oil and made it to my brothers house.

This is a new one on me. I'll research oil sensors tomorrow. I would assume the oil light would come on
before it shut itself down?????????

I noticed the right rear blinker and license plate light are out so maybe I have another short.

Those gremlins can kiss my butt.

Oh great Rocket gurus, was the service manager correct in saying that our bikes can shut down when the oil level isn't right WITHOUT
the Oil warning light first coming on?

I have an aftermarket temperature dipstick and the low/high lines are not in the right spots but there was a lot of oil showing.

The oil was Amsoil 10W40 with 12,000 miles on it and then left in Florida for four months = 9 months old.

Could the shutdowns be due to viscosity or breakdown of the oil? I typically change it at 10K but an extra 2K doesn't seem like it would be too harmful.

The temperature here yesterday was in the 60's/70's and the engine didn't feel hotter than normal.

In both cases, I added 1/2 Qt and it started and ran fine for awhile. I can't imagine it was low but not throwing an error.

Could it really be a bad oil pressure sensor?

I had new oil shipped here and will install it today before riding it again.
