Having the T-Bars... was making it hard in trying to figure out how to mount my Garmin Nuvi 260 to them. Since that bars are 1.5" in diameter, there is not a ready supply of standard GPS clamps for them. So.. again calling on my inherent wisdom of Yankee engineering and Gi ingenuity; I have "jerryrigged" a mount that seems to be effective; and certainly not too gaudy looking;

Used a 3" rubber pipe coupling, split it and then used a 2" hose clamp to fasten it to the T-Bars. Them utilize the Garmins cradle and a leftover ball socket from another mount; and mounted the ball socket through two holes drilled through the rubber:

Doesn't look bad at all. Cheap in cost too! And the vibration dampening capacity of my creation should be superb !

Ya, I didn't want to stop every hundred miles or so and consult a map; on my way to Maggie Valley. Well, I'll have to stop anyway for gas; but it's nice to see the map drift in front of you electronically; as you're heading there....
