Trying to make custom heat shields for a 2" curved header pipe with a 3.5" center line radius. Figured I would go with a 2.25" curved pipe. Does that sound about right? Also does anyone know what CLR is needed to follow the outside contour of the pipe?

my spec's for bending here are;
2" O.D. tube
Tight radius bend is 3" CLR (center line radius).
Standard (longer) radius bend 5" CLR

2¼ O.D. tube;
Tight radius bend 3 3/8" CLR.
Longer radius 5" CLR.

This is what make making heat shields difficult, if you go up two sizes of tube diameter, the CLR changes and it doesn't match the tube that you are try to cover.

Now Paul has me scared. So got in contact with Samson and the person I talked to said this might be the shield I need. It doesn’t look like the right shape. Can someone running the Samson shield confirm that this is the one used on the Sidwinder exhaust?
