I am planning on going cross country some time in Aug through Sept. Will be taking my Son to school in Omaha (Creighton)Starting out from De to St louis will be trailering or putting in back of truck to begin with, going to St louis to his Mothers and then going the rest of the way on the beast. ( The Rocket not his Mother)
I do not have any GPS ( is that a major problem?) Also any suggestions of what I need to plan for or bring to help make this a safe and trouble free trip, I have looked for GPS units but all I could find that were designed for bikes were in the 600-800 dollar range (too expensive) On a side note I am out of work and looking to be called back in the winter so this is the only chance I for-see to be able to attempt this trip, plus I aint getting no younger.
