Correct me if am wrong but in days gone by did we not just have a tube that ran to the ground vice a filter? A vent tube directed away from the back tire if I remember right.

You are correct! Now, breather emissions are required to be directed back thru the engine to be burned.
That little Ramair filter works great as long as your blowby is normal.

My blow by is normal. The little ram air filter is what i had but it got a bit dirty after 40,000 miles:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll: Completely forgot about it. Thinking a tube run to the side would work. Figure a car that leaks oil would place more of a factor on the environment then a good running bike with just a tube attached. Could be wrong.

A venturi into the exhaust works great as a breather as it creates vacum and with your welding skills not a problem, never think of it again.

I'd be careful about that if you have mufflers after where evac tube goes into header
Example of header evac.

Mufflers? Do you mean fiberglass packed baffles in the mufflers? nothing in my baffles but steel baffles, what is the concern you speak of?

I've got the K&N filter on mine but I ran a rubber line up to the under side of the tank and connected the filter there. Keeps it breathing, but keeps the oil in the case.
Doing the same. Not sure where i am going to go with it but ordered 1/2 splicer that i plan to mount to cut off existing hose and run Half inch line up a ways and install K/N filter 1/2 inch connection. 1/2 inch is easy to find 5/8 not very easy to locate. Everybody including K/n is out of them.

Did the same thing. With the filter up a lot higher than the crankcase outlet most of the oil mist coming out of the crankcase collects on the tube and drains back into the engine.

You could also run the line up to the stock intake or RamAir which would also draw the fumes into the engine to be reburnt.

@Neville Lush may i ask you what you prefer for the crank case breather, if thats a phone question no worries i know you are busy making made hp for peeps. i was just curious what you thunk as we never really discussed it. Cheers
