Does anyone know in round figures what the cost of shipping to Seattle from London UK and collection and return shipping from Charleston South Carolina back to London UK.

Also could you point me in the right direction of a company / companies that would insure a bike from the UK for say 4 -6 weeks.

Any info would be much appreciated

JMTC.. If you ask me your asking for a big expensive hassel. I shipped my bike across country once with nine others with a truck shipping Co. I had to find a pallet to put it on and secure it properly before they would even take it on board the truck. Two of the bikes in the group were damaged in transit. Your not likely to find that many Triumph dealers here in the states if you break down. There are plenty of bike rentals here in the U.S. that can accommodate you. This link might help you out. In any case good luck....

They change it up all the time they have a trophy and some others right now, a call to them would probably help if you tell them your dates and they could have something lined up by then.

Would be cheaper to rent one here they even have insurance included, my local Triumph dealer has a rental setup, fly into Chicago I will pick you up...

Thanks for the info and offer to me up in Chicago as it's been on the bucket list for a while ...I want to visit Buddy Guys place. I have some specific reasons for starting in Seattle and ending up in Charleston. I like you have a wing which for the big hauls find it has the edge over my roadster. I have some buddies who have used Eaglerider rental and may go down that route if I can't sort out a reasonable solution. Thanks once again ride safe

I used this company back in 2007...shipped from Toronto, Canada to Gatwick & back for a 2 month tour of Europe.

At that time, if memeory serves, the break even point was about 5 weeks....where shipping became more economical than renting.

There was also an advantage of saving a day by going from Canada.

If you want to see Niagara Falls, I live 45 minutes away, and will put you up while you are here.

What ever you decide i'll put you up if your in my area. I live a mile from the Mayflower,Plymouth Rock Massachusetts.. Not to throw negative waves at you but getting good service for my Rocket has been a chore to say the least for me. Most Triumph dealers are motorsport dealers who send their machanics to school for a month to learn how to work on Triumphs. I've gone threw three dealers since 2005 and i have to travel 140 miles to the one i trust. There are nine Harley dealers within a ten mile radius of me. i've been X-country four times and had two flat tires. If you get a flat in the Rocket your looking at spending $400-500+ for a new tire replacement. I'd also suggest you join the AMA for $49 http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/membership/join if you do break down they come and get you to the nearest Triumph dealer. Happy Trails..
