Why is growing old so **** hard? I swear, I think I'm turning into a circus freak. It wasn't all that many years ago when I could turn a young girls head. Now, I only succeed in turning their stomach. The hair on my head has relocated to my back, my ears and my nose. My IQ has decreased and my waistline has increased. The other day I looked in the mirror and I swear my face would make a freight train take a dirt road. There is hope, though. On these freakish days, I go out into the garage and saddle up my Rocket and hit the road. When that happens, there's no such thing as a circus freak. Semper Fi!

Who is old, and what are you still doing up Phil, isn't it past your bed time.

It's just going on 11 PM here on the East coast, Scorp.

BTW, I am a nightbird that is not growing old, but maturing gracefully.;)

Growing old works for me as long as I keep my priorities in order. The doctor just gave me a list of specialists to see with all sorts of issues associated with turning 50 I suppose. I know 50 is not old compared to a few of you brothers here, but it will be as old as I have ever been when it comes next month. About perspective though, I keep up with the younger guys at work whether that is in the gym on in the field. Not one of them can out drink me. As a matter of fact, when we are in the field I am the last to turn in and the first to get up, always having coffee made before the first one them gets up. Those that ride to work only ride between temperatures of 60-80F. I don't worry about turning the young girls heads anymore, and I'll shut up now before I get in trouble... Hoo-yah @Old Gringo

Hey wait a minute...my new glasses came in. I took a look in the mirror and I didn't start crying. I may actually still be handsome. Seriously, getting old isn't so bad. I just hate to see things starting to wear out. Riding a bike and riding my four horses really does help keep me "younger" at 68. Looking forward, I may have to consider a Rocket trike in the next few years. Semper Fi!

@Boog there were several young ladies (well, younger than me) that got a little bit over served at my 50th and decided to get in the hot tub. When they emerged they were mostly sans clothing so I felt obliged, being slightly over served myself to take them on a tour of the neighborhood in my razor...make some memories and enjoy your 50th...there won't be another. Oh and @Old Gringo ... Semper Fi brother

Well Gringo if your avatar is a self portrait, I'm not surprised - or was that taken without your new specs? and while you can still get your leg over, don't worry about it.
