CAT Bypass System

A lot of captains have the cat bypass installed, if you are keeping the factory ugly sewing machine sounding pipes the 12min tune should be okay. The best tune (and most expensive) is the tuneboy set up . Dump the std exhaust and go looking for another set up, I run the MadDogs with the cat bypass.:D

To each his own.

The design of OEM "silencer upgrade" lends itself IMO to smoother and more even distribution of gases. And the price difference is clearly significant. http://azsbk.stores.yahoo.net/a9600160.html My first upgrade with "factory ugly sewing machine sounding pipes" was the "silencer upgrade" and the 12 minute tune was all that was necessary. The sound changed remarkably. Like a sewing machine with a big balls. And, no ear plugs necessary. And the performance improvement was major, based upon seat-o-pants dynometer.

And in case you're not familiar, the "12 minute tune" will cost you total, less that 20 minutes of time including warm up. Plus the fuel to get there.

And an even better price tag for OEM Silence Upgrade:

Psydone fitted this to his bike with Mad Dogs,he then had it tuned by the owner of Tunboy. He seemed to think that this bypass was holding him back about 10rwhp:eek:.The bike only made just over 140rwhp when others with factory bypass were making over 150;)

Does anyone have this system?
It is advertised as compatible with Triumph stock exhausts (no re-mapping required).

I am looking to enhance the aural qualities of my wee beastie & I like the aesthetics of the stock pipes, so this system looks like it might fit the bill.

Feedback?

That's a Staintune (Australia) bypass. It's my favorite aesthetically speaking but it's, by far, the most expensive too. Goggle up Staintune. It's on their website.

My bike don't sound like no stink'in sewing machine, it sounds like a motorboat (in a mud bog).:D
