Went for a ride today(don't want the oil company's to go out of business) and stopped by carpender racing. (only 50 miles from my home) Met bob what a nice guy, showed me a couple of projects he working on. They just stretched a R3R 2 inches at the swing arm and extended the shaft also. He is working on a new motor that will be 280hp hoping to break 7.5 quarter mile. They are heading to the salt flats next week try for 230+mph run with the twin engine Castrol / triumph / carpender bike.
Also he is still working on a muffler for his exhaust. (Having a supplier issue) should have been done a year ago. And last but no least I asked him about oil and they use Castrol 4T on all of their modified bikes and Amsoil marine synthetic on their racing bikes. Hope I got all of this right my memory is crap any more.
If I ever get a job again I will be going back to get some work done! Little long in the tooth but I thought I'd share this with you.
