Broken Ignition Cable

For the fist time ever, the green machine had to be towed away last week. I was riding in downtown Geneva when all of a sudden, the engine went dead, lights, idiot lights and gauges all going off at the same time. And evidently no way to restart the darn thing.

And NO, I had not mistakenly hit the red button!

Diagnosis: The ignition cable that originates right under the ignition switch and then spreads out to all electric/electronic functions was broken right under that switch, seemingly due to an awkward ex-factory routing.

I think I'm going to stash an extra throttle cable and some alligator clip wire jumpers on my bike.
At your age I know you carry a cell phone. So what do you need wire and roach clips for????Himmmm BJC. And you can reach under the tank and get it home twisting the throttle by hand..Try it Porky..Iam sorry Brian, I just couldnt stop myself, they say laughing is good for you.
