The best way to break it in is to leave it with me for a couple of days and I'll do all the dirty work for you.

If you want to risk breaking it in for yourself, then just vary the rpms.....

85 for about 5 miles.
75 for about 5 miles.
110 for about a mile or two.
back and forth, stop and go traffic.
No wheelies or burnouts.
just ride it like you intend to ride it after its broke in.
that way your motor will get acustomed to you and the way you ride,
and your valves will seat.

My dealer told me something like:

less than 3000 rpm for the first 100 miles.
less then 4000 rpm for the next 100 miles.
less then 5000 rpm for the next 100 miles.
less then 6000 rpm for the next 100 miles.

Don't lug it and vary the rpms.

This is probably what Triumph recommends.
