It just seems to make the bike run richer. As most bikes run lean due to emissions regulations, that is probably a reasonably good thing on a stock bike. However, you can make the bike run richer with TuneECU for nothing, and have a bit more control of where and when it happens.
There were a few guys that were moving the Ambient air sensors on the KAW 1700s from the airbox to near the front of the bike to avoid "heat soak" and fool the ECU after the bike got hot.
I'm not sure if it really did much or was just some voodoo modding.
Where is the amb air sensor on the Rockets?
I know it wont do anything for a cool bike. But, if it's buried in the innards; relocating it to some moving air might give you an idea of what "tricking" the ECU will do for a warm bike.
