Draw the line for your cut with a black marker. Cover the area you want saved with duct tape for protection. Take a disk type cut off wheel and cut through the metal about a 1/8 inch shy of your mark line because the line will be a little bit straight at each cut section. After you cut the lower part off you can then take a grinding stone to shape your curve. After you get your cut rounded, go to auto parts store and buy a strip of door edge molding to dress it up and cover up sharp edge.
