Want to Buy Backrest Pad

Hi Guys. New 2014 roadster owner here. I just ordered the triumph tall sissy bar and luggage rack and I need a backrest pad. Does any one have something for sale that fits, or suggestions on what is easy to modify and make work? Thanks in adavance.

The separately sold backpads are no longer available from Triumph and the larger Classic version was last sold new for about Au$215 (US$140). The Standard and Tourer versions were cheaper but also out of production and dealers.

SISSY BAR BACKREST - 'TOURING' A9701145 - (pre '08 R3Touring release) had a rubbery type vinyl cover and rough textured side panels to match the Gel seats covering on the Dual Gel (and the later separate rider and pillion seat versions which I have in the shed).

SISSY BAR BACKREST - STANDARD A9701144 had the standard vinyl.

You're probably right about buying Sunsettt's, but I figured there has to be a lot of people on here who have solved this problem already and have some suggested solutions. How hard can it be to fastened a pad to a plate?

Well, looks like it will all work out. My deal on the other one fell through so I can buy Sunsettt's.

I have a new pad and backing i would sell from a thunderbird. Not sure if it will work? A9700194 and A9700215.

@WisconsinRocket It will NOT bolt up to the R3Roadster/Classic/Standard sissy bar.

Do you have the Chrome backing plate bracket A9750688, #4 in image at bottom?

It is intended for the round chrome sissy bar T2305977 only that fits Triumph Rocket 3 Touring (R3T) and the Triumph Thunderbird LT Special. It was never sold separately for R3Ts and could only be bought as an assembly with quick release sideplates Component Set, Sissy Bar A9750325.

Ishrub, no I dont have any brackets for it. Only the two part numbers I listed. I didn't think they would work, but I wasn't sure. I was trying to engineer a way to turn it into a driver's backrest for my R3T, but then I got really lucky and was able to buy the correct backrest.
