I want to add flashing brake lights, and am considering getting the Signal Dynamics XP module, but I note that the stock brake light on the Rocket isn't that good, so then I'm forking out more $ for a brighter bulb, etc. I noticed in the January issue of Rider magazines Hi-Viz Buyers Guide that Aerostich offers a plug in (#1157) halogen bulb with the flash circuit built in:

At $69, this is probably the same or less than the XP + better bulbs, and less work - plug & play, no cutting or splicing. I was wondering if anyone else had tried the Aerostich or similar bulb, or what is the best way to go. The Aerostich flash pattern is probably not California legal, but I'm not sure about Florida.

I don't know about the legality; but I've seen more than a few bright, flashing brake lights on cycles over the last couple of months.

It looks very interesting to me as well.

I be putting a couple of these at either side of the license plate.
Very bright, self contained and not too spendy.

These lights are LED and they do NOT strobe. They reduce intensity by 30% which is the legal crux in many states.

I'll vouch for the Kisan Tailblazer... good product, good company and couldn't be simpler or more effective, IMHO.

Phil and Bama Boy,
This sounds pretty good.
So this $90.00 (in LED) single light bulb literally just plugs in and works?
What is the expected life?

LEDs last a very, very long time (usually 8-10,000 hours). And, yes, it is "plug and play", so to speak.

I always found the folks at Kisan very helpful, so i'm certain that they'll have a better answer for you!
