Asking those with Excedra Max 240/55 and Avon Cobra 140...

i am running 32 and 32. but that might not work for anybody else.:D:D

i just checked my tires and they were down to 30 so i filled them to 34 and will check again in a month or so.
in my opinion the more pressure the more the center wears the less the pressure the more the sides will wear. i have a little over 7000 miles on the rear and can barely see the wear in the middle. when it gets down to 30 i do not like the way it handles. and i weigh about 160. i have been called skinny.
i think that at 32-34 it has more contact to pavement there for less wear.
i guess that i am taking it a little easier on it nowadays. i was getting about 7000 miles on the metz rear.:(

WOW! That is high!
High tire pressures reduce the contact patch and tire stiction.
34F & 42R are the OEM values. I believe these to be cold measurements. Personally, I run a taller rear tire and a shorter front tire. Based on my ride experiences in the twisties, I find 36-38F & 38-40R to be optimal for best friction coefficient to the pavement.
