Killed by an American woman driving on the wrong side of the road, she uses diplomatic immunity and sneaks out of the country. Your time will come *****. I am sure my fellow brits will add to this.

This happens in countries all over the world! Diplomats and their families get away with murder! I don’t agree, but diplomatic immunity is necessary, but abused!

Historically, US citizens fare exceedingly poorly in foreign courts. And there have been cases where the shoe was on the other foot. This is established practice for the greater good. Tragic, yes. And no one is getting away with anything.

Heck, I was driving in Orlando a few years ago, on vacation with my family in the car, and made a left turn the wrong way on a one way street. We were most fortunate it was a Sunday in an industrial area with virtually no traffic and I was able to make a quick U-turn.

I've driven in the UK over the years, and one really has to be on one's toes to fight habitual reactions in many situations.

It's no excuse -- but the practical reality is that there are consequences to this day, in multiple countries for decisions made over a hundred years ago.

Are we talking about this one???..........

"According to the Northamptonshire Police the accident happened on August 27 about 8.30pm (local time) when the youth's black Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Volvo which was travelling towards the village.

Mr Dunn was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, but he died a short time later.

CNN reported the diplomat's wife was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road when the crash occurred."
