Another Possible cause of high idle

Hi all, just got the Rocket out for the year. Over the winter I had bought a tuneboy and loaded a program for Tors/cat delete. The bike has always ran perfect but with the new tune I was having idle issues. It wanted to hang around 2000 rpm and when it finally did settle down it took it a long time. Then I remembered that when I first got it I had put in the "radio shack keep the secondaries open resistor". I went right out and hooked the gear position sensor back up and viola! No more idle problem. I'm still learning these bikes but it seems like I read that the gear position sensor controlled more than just the secondaries (I took mine out last year). Fred

Never did that mod, just whipped the 2ndries right out & tuneboyed the settings to open.
