Airfilter problems? Ramair and original

Three years ago I rebuilt a damaged Touring to my own taste and with various parts of the classic. I immediately replaced the airbox with the ramair and after tuning it drives quite okay. There is one point of annoyance, however. Especially when I accelerate abruptly, the engine sometimes gives recoil through the air filter. I thought the ramair filter caused this but still have it now that I recently installed the original filter. It has become less than with the ramair filter. Does anyone recognize this problem?

When I had backfires through the intake, it was from the rubber boots over the intake being slightly off allowing air to be pulled in. I'm not sure why this caused the backfire, but when the boots were placed properly, no more backfire.

Check to make sure you have no air leaks.

Thanks Boog...i'm gonna check them by spraying a little brakecleanerfluid too see wether the engine respons to it. If leaking it should respond.
