I have a 2013-14 R3R.
Ramair fitted
Viking silencer fitted (standard headers to single silencer)

As I now use it as a sidecar tug I am more interested in torque and economy rather than top end performance..

If I take it to a dyno tuner can they tweek it for this (ie remap the ECU).

Or do I need to find a tuner who specialises in Tuneecu to produce the tune for me.

Cheers

Al

Mileage is going to be 95% throttle hand control and cruising at speeds under 80mph/130kph.

That said, sadly, your desires are contradictory, max torque is a richer than 13.5 AFR, max mileage will be around 15 AFR.

A skilled tuner, like Nev, can get you a good balance but your mileage is going to hurt from having the side car no matter what.

Penner's tune will do good things for your bike from the Resources section, his tune is well optimized and should yield a little better than stock tune mileage with it's moderately advanced ignition timing.

Yep the sidecar does have a bit of effect on consumption.
I currently have "20776Map Unrestricted Decel HansO Tweaks topendplus 10" loaded
I am actually after getting my bike tuned as good as I can.
As Nev is about 800 km away I am trying to figure out what it is I am asking for.
I am trying to understand what I need to look for if I look locally to identify a skilled tuner.

My preference is to get someone to modify the tune via tuneecu without the need for add ons.

If anyone has recommendations for someone in the Melbourne area that would be great.

Cheers

Maybe because I’m used to living in the middle of nowhere compared to a lot of modern civilization (seven hour drive to the nearest Apple store) I could be a little biased but…

You want to get your bike tuned as good as you can, and you have one of the best R3 tuners in the world just a few hours’ drive away? That’s local! :banghead::p:D:thumbsup:
