3 exhaust system to 2 pipe system

Anybody ever take the newer pipes off a 2 pipe roadster and convert their 3 pipe exhaust system to a more modern two pipe? The reason I ask is because I just installed TORs on my '12 roadster. My brother really likes the look of the two pipe models, but has an older 3 pipe model. He has no mods on his bike and I have the pipes. Is there anyone who has any experience with this? I was thinking he should be able to just buy a new collector and the pipes would mount to it no problem, but then there's the chrome covers, and the rear mounts as well that would need to change.

Should fit up ok will need the two side mounting brackets and crossover pipe

Don't use the old crossover pipe from the 3 muffle system as it has a cat converter in it. The standard 12 R3R has cat converters in the mufflers.
