2010 Triumph Roocket 3 Roadster with sidecar.
G'day members,
Yep, it's been awhile.
I'm looking for an ECU for my big girl, a 2010 Roadster...(you know, the one with the giant man bag attached).
It's the model with newer instruments and ABS.
Anyone happen to have one for sale?
Cheers
Sean.

G'day mate, good to see you about again, but not the best of reasons.
Been thinking about you recently and have finally contacted the Bathurst sidecar mob for a leading link for mine.

Can you post a photo of your ECU and the label which will confirm if I can help.
I have a spare ABS Roadster ECU and wiring loom in the shed.
The tank is off my own 2010 ABS Roadster too so I can check my fitted one easily too.

The ECU are matched to the ABS system as you know but they may have made a later ECU ABS version too I think like the ABS speedos matched to the ECU, where there was a 2010-2016 version and a later one.
Aussie dealers parts listings do not clarify 100% either:

Harbour City in Australia lists two different part numbers for ABS Roadsters depending how you search.
They all have a different part number for the earlier pre-ABS ECU.

G'day mate,
yes it's been awhile... a lot of stuff going on. The Rocket has been on the back burner of late owing to other things...lost my brother to cancer awhile back and he gave me an old HD which I have been playing with and riding, but now it's time to get the Triumph back in ship shape. I'm attaching a couple of pics, but the numbers etc are a bit obscured.
As far as I know, the earlier models were all different ( pre abs) then they were the same until the new ones? Might be wrong. As far as a leading link for yours goes... an issue I have with my leading link on the Triumph is that it keeps breaking rim speed sensor cables. You might want to talk to him about that before you go too much further. Maybe send me a private message? Mate, thanks for replying to this and I hope you can help me out!

Yes, we rarely hear of anyone needing to replace them...
My best guess is that a leaking fuel tank caused fuel to get into the ECU. Now it has a load of warning lights and the bike shop in Tamworth's Triumph diagnostic tools can't talk to it. A lot of people have had a look at this bike and in the end we can only narrow it down to a faulty ECU. I don't really want to get into a long discussion about other possible causes. Cheers Sean

Well if you buy a new one you will have to bring the bike to Triumph dealer (or cowboy with Triumph diagnostics software and cable) to get it unlocked and map loaded.

If you get a used one then you can trust the seller has the right map on it or load the right map yourself with TuneECU.

I'd be interested in getting my hands on the old one if you don't want it.

Can you tell us the back story to this, how your bike wound up in this state?
