Hi all

Im in a position where i can buy one of two rIIIs.
One is the flame red 2004, the other a 2011 roadster (2 pipes).

2005:
comes with sissy bar, passenger seat, touring screen, all 4 dials (fuel, clock), leather panniers, spotlights. 18000 miles Price: £6800. Been sitting a while at a dealership. I cant comment on condition yet Im going to view this afternoon

2011:
comes as standard with screen, passeger sear and sissy bar. 13000miles £8999

Im having trouble choosing due to potential issues with the first edition. Was edition 1 actually problem ridden or was it ok? Were the improvments in the Roadster significant enough to warrant spending an extra £2000 do you think?

I've had my 05 since new, at 41k had to change the stator, 45k had to change all the tps. other than that it's still running great, wouldn't want another bike.

Holy hell those prices are high. I bought a 2016 with 5000 miles loaded for $9500 last year. Now given Im in another continent and the market is insane right now but id definitely look the bikes value up first
Yes, the market is pretty lively in the UK. Seems fair though - a private seller wants 6200 with no extras

Bikes holding value well, my Roadster was less than a year old in 2011 with 3800 miles on for £10,000, from a Triumph dealer (I got £495 off it was my birthday).
