I am guessing this is normal with such a big engine?
My bike is not over heating but even in winter 16c the fan kicks in after a freeway ride at the first stop and seems to take ages to bring the temp down to switch the fan off idling at the lights.
Then it's off and on ever time I stop.
The coolant level is correct with no leaks.
None of my other liquid cooled bike have the thermo fan coming on in winter unless stuck in heavy traffic so just checking this is normal rocket behavior.

something is wrong
110 degrees mine does not do that.
the last .7 mile it will come on because i am doing 18 mph.

Started the bike today and let it idle until the fan came on.It then just cycled of and on as you would expect so guessing I am just being paranoid .As soon as I ride off it stops and no sign of over heating or any warning lights.

Flushed the cooling system today .Filled it with new coolant and bleed it correctly and it is fine now.
The old coolant which was originally red I think but was brown and dirty looking when I dumbed it.
The fan comes on much less now and when it does it's on for a much shorter duration.
