02 sensor removal.

Hey guys, in the process of installing the Carpenter Racing exhaust and I managed to take the stock exhaust off completely -- Now I have an (assuming it is) 02 sensor tube/wire hanging down, I hadnt even checked if it can be screwed off.

Can I just screw it off? The PC3 Ill install comes with an 02 emulator, removing the check engine light -- so no worries about that - Just wanna know if it's safe that I just remove that hose.....

please advise!

Just unplug the O2/Lambda sensor from the harness.

Turn the sensor off in the map using TuneBoy/TuneEdit or TuneECU so that the ECU is not looking for it. No need for the PC plug/resistor.

I use the PCIII O2 eliminator to cover the connection. If you are not a Tuneboy or TuneEcu user you will need it.
