Replaced primary TPS? It is a 2007..

    Starter Motor

The yellow circle is where the starter motor hole is, and the red circle is where the flywheel/starter gear is. When the check valve under the oil tank en route to the sump scavenge pump isn't the most checky, oil can seep through it over time, and fill the sump with bulk oil. As the sump oil...

    Starter Motor

Yeah the bulk of the oil is generally held in the tank but if sat for a while it will drain down into the sump. Which is probably what happened you. E.g. if you checked the oil level before you pulled the starter, the dip stick probably would have been dry. Run the bike for a minute, leave it...

    Gear position sensor 2014 roadster

Wonder did the wires to the GPS socket get damaged when reinstalling engine into frame? Timing seems suspicious. Otherwise I would be strongly suspecting good ol Triumph wiring where there is some dry rotted crimped joint buried in the harness somewhere.

    Gear position sensor 2014 roadster

Sorry I see you'd posted that already. I had the page open in the browser all day and only replied late in day. So missed the posts made since page loaded. Didn't mean to be an echo

    Gear position sensor 2014 roadster

I would have guessed that the gear position shaft (connects selector drum to the GPS) wasn't connected in right upon reassembly of the trans etc but you have said that you've turned it manually and not got any response on the LCD display? I only have one 4-wire sensor to hand here and that's on...

    cord for tuneecu

Only trust Lonelec ones, from their site. Amazon and Ebay ones that say they're for TuneECU and Triumph can be a minefield. There was a man on one of the Facebook Rocket groups the other day was selling one too (a lonelec)

    Fuel filter renewal

Yeah that's what I'm saying, the Touring has a different fuel pump assembly than the other Rocket III models, because it has a different geometry tank; Rocket III Touring Rocket III (all other models) Re the "modified" gasket, how do you mean modified? Do you mean that the new...

    Fuel filter renewal

Yeah the Touring has a different tank than the Rocket III, Classic, Tourer and Roadster so it has a few extra bits on its pump assy like the coarse filter and boot and pipe. The Roadster pump should have a course filter attached to it though, like a small stiff net.

What's the clutch cable adjustment measurement

    Head light upgrade

Yes. Had similar struggles with the H4 LED "bulbs" and the reflector type bucket that the Rocket III comes with, and legality. Apparently the only way to make the H4 LEDs legal is to have them in projector type headlights rather than the reflectors as above. Anyway now there is an OEM option...

    Fuel filter renewal

Probably just the angle of the camera. My measurements; Mahle KL 145 Body length 57.9mm Diameter 49.9mm Tubes 8.0mm OD, 5.5mm ID Triumph T1240850 Body length 58.2mm Diameter 54.4mm Tubes 8.0mm OD, 5.4mm ID The filters are good for 265+ wheel on the Rocket anyway, never heard of the filter...

    Fuel filter renewal

Oh yes. There are very slight dimensional differences between them, not enough to notice by eye really, but Mahle is a top quality OEM spec filter brand used by a lot of top manufacturers. And right now upgraded to a Mahle KL 60 from an Audi RS6. But that's just for my engine, this is...

    Engine Question

Black came in in 06, may be a leftover bike on a dealer floor only registered in 2007. Think some of the Classics are like that. Or someone sprayed the engine silver. What's your engine number?

    Possibly TPS failure?

Being a 2009, there's a good chance the primary TPS is gone funny and needs replacement & setting. Nice cans BTW

    AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS

What would be your view on dual clutch trans, are they auto, semi auto, automated manual or what :)

    Detent Spring

Freedom currency  +1 it sounds like clutch cable out of adjustment. Perhaps the locknut on the adjuster has vibrated loose or something
  19. R-III-R Turbo

1.6 makes 300hp and our rockets 2.3 make 150~ LOL

1.6L @ 26psi = 2.9L @ 14.5psi i.e. NA? As in (1.6 / 14.5psi) x 26psi = 2.9L Curious as to where the 2.7L comes from. But anyway isn't 26psi the boost the Toyota runs, so it is really 40.5psi absolute? So then the 1.6L @ 26psi boost will process the same volume of air per cycle as a 4.5L NA...

    Clutch upgrade

That exploded parts diagram is a pest, it is so misleading. All engines I've worked on (06 onwards) had (from front to back); the pressure plate the ball bearing the lifter piece/pull rod wavy washer All that sits into the clutch assembly. No sign of #19, #27 or #23. They might be part of...
