    @DEcosse Keyless Glitch

    I decided not to recruit my wife. She is already on the verge of an atomic meltdown with having to do all the things I can't do now. In addition to crutches sucking so bad my memory also sucks really bad. I went through everything on my shelves to the point my good leg went to sleep after 15...

    @DEcosse Keyless Glitch

    I believe I have the manual out in the garage buried somewhere with piles of other bike related stuff on my shelves. I have had the same problem a time or two and the manual has always sorted it out for me. Unfortunately I am hobbling around on crutches thanks to a broken leg and don't think I...

    ANYBODY install the Gas Tank KNEE PADS?

    I see I am responding to what was originally an 8 or 9 year old post. I've only read a few of the replies. I installed the knee pads and ****** pad at the back end of the tank when I bought my 2006 Classic a few years ago. To me they make the difference between what a, "real" Triumph should...

    Backrest Adjustment

    [ The wheel/nut gizmo was frozen solid but after soaking in silicone lubricant the wheel with the numbers turns freely. Turning it to numeral 1 got me a couple inches more lean to the back and now the backrest works great for me. Thanks. :thumbsup:

    Backrest Adjustment

    Recently bought a '08 Touring model and it came with virtually every accessory available at that time when new, including a rider's backrest. Is there a way to adjust the backrest.? It would be better for me if it could be moved back a couple inches. As it is my ****** is forced up against...

    Signal Minder - Tailblazer - L E D - REVIEW!!

    As you may recall we corresponded about this and am glad I followed your advice, especially about leaving the handlebar turn switch alone. Poking that hornet nest is completely unnecessary. I did have one negative experience with the SuperBright LED tail/brake light bulb. I don't know if it...

    "Carbon Fibre" Seat Cover

    Too late, bummer. As I posted earlier I bought a carbon fiber solo and pillion listed on eBay recently. Thanks for trying to help. :):thumbsup:

    "Carbon Fibre" Seat Cover

    Update: Got the vinyl sample a week ago or so. It was difficult to tell what the overall look would be with an actual cover based on the 1.5 sq. inch sample. It was a very lightly embossed pattern similar to that found on the Triumph, "carbon fiber" vinyl side panels but not nearly as sexy to...

    "Carbon Fibre" Seat Cover

    Wow, "me so horny....", as they say. Not sure I understand how you can get that seat to work without the duct work but I don't get lots of stuff. :)o_O:thumbsdown: Anyway, I will keep shopping and hope to score a Triumph seat with the carbon fiber pattern. Thanks! PS I went with the...

    About when was that and what did it cost approximately? Thanks!

    "Carbon Fibre" Seat Cover

    Well, apparently no one is interested and/or no one has bought one of these covers. I've corresponded with vendor and they offered a sample of the material, so, we will see how it looks. Will, let you know. :)

    "Carbon Fibre" Seat Cover

    I've been shopping for a roadster type rider's single seat with a vinyl pattern to match the passenger(pillion)that I have. Don't know what the pattern is called but I would describe the top vinyl panel on the pillion as having a cross-hatch pattern. My rider's seat is just plain vinyl...

    Need Utopia Bracket

    Update: Turned the bro-in-law loose on this project and as expected for about 5 bucks worth of steel, nuts and bolts he produced exactly what I needed in about 2 hours time. I need to sand and file some rough spots and prime and spray but I am a very happy camper. His fabrication skills saved...

    Need Utopia Bracket

    Well, I admire your ingenuity. However I had something far more simplistic in mind. My Utopia backrest is fully adjustable and lays down flat on my seat for easy mounting and dismounting.....which is an essential feature. At 71 I am not flexible enough to get my leg and rear end up and over a...

    Need Utopia Bracket

    I've got a Utopia backrest on my '06 Classic 2 up touring type seat. I bought a used solo seat and separate passenger pillion on eBay and would like to buy or make a bracket that would allow me to mount my Utopia backrest to the solo/pillion combo. Utopia sells a backrest for the solo/pillion...

    New seat = new handling

    Did he also mention the Harley advantage of being able to find free spare parts that have shaken loose and fallen into many roadside ditches? :laugh:;)

    Gear Indicators

    Ironically my '09 Harley Ultra Classic has a gear indicator on the dash........it's designed to only show the high gear position......6th. It does help to know when I can stop shifting but like you I am often looking for 7th gear. :banghead:

    Got some Viking bags

    Understand......look at my pictures and you will see what can be done....although yours are not cutouts......... so you might need some spacers to move yours out to just clear the shocks. PS You might notice my bags do not have Viking badges.....plus they have side marker reflectors back and...
