    Scratched Gas Tank - Recommendation?

I had a similar issue with my Ducati X Diavel. I knew that my perfect black pint could never be matched completely. I turned out that my insurance company ( Foremost Insurance) covered the entire cost for a brand new factory painted tank. ( $2800.00) Try this!

Rear break master cylinder recall r3 gt

I finally received an actual recall notice via "snail mail" about the rear brake issue. Will have to wait until Spring because winter in NJ is no time to ride for this old coot! I always found the rear brake to be a bit sub par but figured it is what it is so I'm glad there is a recall!

Not a word from my dealer about my 2021 R3 GT

    R3 gt 2021 failure!!

Yes...We've never seen this before. I heard that 3 times needing my Boss Hoss transmission replaced for the third time. Once I got familiar with the forum guys, the problem with the trans was SOOO common! "Never before" is such BS!

    Shocks

Progressive 430's are the absolute best for the R3's.

How to tell if your forks are bent.

It seems impossible that overtightening the straps could possibly bend the forks!! makes no sense!

    Rear shocks

This is like the eternal oil debate. All opinion with no evidence other than subjective BS! Riding for 60 years and 30 bikes, I've found Progressive 430's to be amazing on the R3. This, of course, is JMHO

    Keyless ignition

I hate the keyless BS! Then you need to use the key to open the gas cap! Ridiculous!

    Don't do this (another kickstand)

    UP, UP....Not DOWN!!

    Don't do this (another kickstand)

Twice for me. Why are there not lockouts that disallow shutting off the engine until the thing is shut off.?

I wouldn't say this common but certainly an issue

My son had a mystery dent on his Ducati Monster's tank. About 1 1/2" diameter which looked like a golf ball hit it on the right side near the filler cap. No knowledge of a hit or whatever. Magic!

I wouldn't say this common but certainly an issue

I think it's one of the most amazing things how these nuts or bolts can fall into an engine and be GONE forever! This has happened to me so many times!! Worse is when you hear it hit the clean floor and still can't find the bastard!

    Don't do this (another kickstand)

Oh yes...twice. Glad I already had my helmet on when my head whacked the ground. There should be a lockout for not being able to turn off the engine until the stand is down!

    Instruments Dead.....Bike runs fine...What gives?

This is a very old thread that I just happened to be viewing. What was the resolution to the problem? It just seems so improbale that both would fail at the same time.

    Melting Positive Battery Terminal

You have an arcing issue. Dielectric grease. Your cable ends may be out of round allowing insufficient contact with the posts.

    warped rotors

If you tires are worn more at the edges than the middle, your tire pressure is too low which may contribute to your perceived pulsation or wobble. Under inflation is very common and forces the tire to put more surface area on the ground to support the weight of the bike. This produces the area...

    not again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Look..The man is frustrated and has a right to vent it. Most of us are lucky and some are not. This has been a dead reliable ride for me even after having the Carpenter kit done but I certainly feel for those who have recurrent problems. I don't think taking his comments about Triumph personally...

    Clatter Bang...

Many years ago, I had the same thing happen with a Yamaha XS11. There was no oil in the trasfer case! I have to wonder whether or not there was any lube in the rear end.

    busted Crank!

When I brought my bike to Carpenter for the build, I asked him about whether these hi comp pistons would play havoc with the trans or crankshaft. He showed me an r3 crank and said these are bullet proof and he had never encountered a problem. Frankly, this is the very first time I've heard this...

Triumph Quit Ignoring Your Ignition Problems

Just unbelievable that we have to find so many solutions for Triumph's failings. I'll just never understand why the British do NOT GET ELECTRONICS! From Lucas in the 60's and 70's until this very day, the electrics evade all of the Triumph engineers and remain sub-standard! Just BULL****!
