Thank you all over the years as a Roadster owner

Hey all, Thanks to each and every one of you that at a moments notice would offer help to a fellow Rocket 3 owner. Just sold the bike and the buyer just pulled off. A lot of memories from my fellow Rocketeers. Joined right at five years ago when I purchased my 2012. Happy riding and kind...

    Changing up ride

Hello all, Will be putting my 2012 Roadster on the auction block. Been a great bike. How is the reliability of the new 2500cc models? Maybe leaning that way. 2012 has under 14k miles and I added forward controls, Avon grips, tall color matched hard screen from England. Locking Viking bags and a...

    Spark plug condition

Hey all, My 2012 Roadster has 13,500 miles and these are 4 of the spark plugs. Will remove the last two today, but do these look like they should for the miles and the 10 years since new? They are original. Thanks,

    Rocket Woes!!!

Hello all, I posted about a week ago that I changed out my grips on my 2012 Roadster with 12k miles. Non-heated grips and ran perfectly beforehand. Did not touch anything but the grip housing and nothing down below. It runs like this until it warms up and is almost normal then. I was thinking...

    Stalling

Hello all, Need a little help. I own a 2012 Roadster and changed the grips out last week so I had to loosen the throttle cables for the install. Once grips on and housing back together I started the bike and it began shuddering and hesitating like fuel is cutting out. Once it warms up, it is...

    High frequency vibrations

Hello all, Just had front and rear ME888's installed on 2011 Roadster and have about 75 miles on them now. Since installed, have noticed high frequency vibration in the bars that wasn't there before. Not a shaking the handlebar vibration, but definitely high frequency. Happens between 20-40 mph...

    New shoes (pads)

Hello all, Bout time to re-shoe the Roadster. Bought bike with 4k on it 2.5 years ago, so I'm sure these are original pads. 11k on it now. What are you all running? I see semi-metallic, organic and some others. What's a good pad composition for this machine? No Speed Racer, but like to take...

    Wheel polish

Hello all, My Roadster issues are few, but was always baffled why our Atlantic allies didn't clear-coat the Rocket 3 wheels. Every time I washed my bike, the wheels looked like crap. Tried a few different products. Mothers, Eagle One, and the tear off wad stuff. Saw this White diamond metal...

    Found gasket under bike

Hello all, Found this laying under my 2012 Roadster. Was on the ground, near rear of the engine. Is a rubber like cushion. Any ideas where it came from? Thanks in advance,

    Washing and tire wear.

Took couple of hours to get this beast spotless. Wish Big T would have clear-coated the wheels. A real pain cleaning the wheels with metal polish and towel. About to change front and rear tire. Does 7k on a set sound normal? Does the new 2.5 have coated wheels?

    Oil filter question

Hello all, Is there a good oil filter I can purchase off the shelf at an Autozone, O'Reilly rather than ordering? My chrome filter cover won't sit flush with the Mobile 1. Thanks,

    Oil plug question

Hello all, Changing the oil on my 2012 Roadster. Of course it takes 3 washers, one for each plug. Wasn't paying attention and need to know does the 2 bigger, thinner washers go to the oil tank plug and the oil pan plug and the smaller, thicker sealing plug to the rear plug? Hope that makes...

    Seat comfort

Hello all, Bought the Air Flow seat cover for my 2012 Roadster after being on the fence for a while. Hot as Hades here in Houston and this thing delivers. I can feel air flowing around the south area now and makes seat a bit more comfortable. I have the seat from a 2008 Classic l think as the...

    Coolant leak follow-up

Hello Rocketeers, Took the advise of several rocketship commanders and checked the bleed screw. It was on sooooo tight that I connected the socket and the extention and still had to tap the ratchet with a rubber mallet to loosen bleed screw. Reinstalled bleed screw and washer at 10 nm and have...

    Coolant leak video

Hey guys, here's the video of the coolant leak. Looks like I might have asked a few too many questions in my quest to find out what's going on with my bike, but here is the video and I appreciate everyone's help. Law enforcement, I know. This Rocket 3 thing...a complete rookie.

    Coolant Questions

Ok guys, Got video loaded from Youtube. You can see where it's leaking from and there's no liquid around the hoses. Rubbed Q-Tips all around them and they were dry. Once bike warms up, it starts these drips and will seem to stop usually after I ride. Maybe it could still be a hose. I know many...

    Nailed down coolant leak

Hello Rocketeers, My coolant leak is definitely coming from the fitting leading from the engine to the small hose. Started the bike and watched until it warmed up and started leaking. How bad of an operation $$$ is this fix? You really have to love these bikes to keep them.
