    Feeling Lucky

Yesterday, after a nice afternoon of riding (adjusting the grab point of my clutch - which started to change recently) I made a couple stops and headed home. I opened the garage door, pulled into the spot where I always park the bike and WHAM! The engine locks up and stalls. Seems the clutch...

    Portable Jumper Packs

Anyone here tried any of these portable jumper packs that are on the market? http://www.2wheelpros.com/antigravity-batteries-xp3-microstart-power-supply-2504368.html?gclid=CJ_f5Pb0nckCFQkxaQod7SgIEw Cranking over the Rocket isn't like cranking your average bike but the claimed 400 amps...

    TPS issue?

Might just need an adjustment or syncing with the ISCV. I replaced my TPS w/o syncing it and had exactly that same symptom. BTW, did you respond to the question at the bottom of the search page? Try that and see if your searches work. ;-)

    Need R3 Roadster bike cover!?

Hmmm, the Triumph website still shows the Rocket III cover as an available item P/N A9930214 $149.99 (All-Weather) P/N 9930207 $129.99 (Dust). Hard to believe they would discontinue the cover without offering an alternative. Possibly call another dealer?

    Ignition Switch Replacement

The ignition switch on my 06 Classic is getting ready to give up the ghost - turn the handle bar to the left or wiggle the wire and ZAP, she turns off...even if running (definitely a bad thing). I've read about the solder and overheat problems, so I'm wondering: Is there anything repairable...

    Any recommendation for new mirrors?

Anyone have a recommendation for mirrors? I changed to a set of Triumph Teardrops last year but the ball socket has already lost tension on one side (no adjustment avail - see post: ) I enjoyed the wider view but don't think I'll make the same mistake twice w/Triumph replacements (a new...

    SAFE Ride System

Anyone on the forum have any experience with this product: http://www.powersportinnovations.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=25&Itemid=9? There was a booth set up at Cape Coral's Bike Night a couple weeks ago and the video looked compelling - just wondering if there are any...

    Starter Sticking

Actually sounds like a bad solenoid - I've had the same problem on cars and boats (although never on a bike)...sometimes a poor connection (open/short) can reduce the volts/amps that reach the solenoid. Check the simple stuff first! A loose connection would make for an easy fix. Good Luck.

    Low fuel light ???

Nope, the Triumph Fuel Guage connects to the same tank sensor to get it's input. I had my dealer adjust mine, and the only way he could get it right was to adjust it and then add fuel until there was 1 gal in the tank and the light came on - if the light came on before a full gallon was...

    Mounting the Zumo 550

Has anyone mounted the Garmin Zumo 550 off of their Windscreen frame? I'd like to put it in that unused space behind the speedo/tach but I'm running a Triumph fixing kit with a Clearview +5 screen and there would be only 1 bolt to secure the Garmin mount. Is this sufficient? Anyone tried or...

    A few questions/comments from a new R3 owner

John, the 'false' shift to first is something the bike is notorious for - it's happende on 2 demo's I rode and my own '06 Classic and I've heard it from others...it doesn't go away with time and the dealer says that they all do that. I've learned to listen for the 'clunk' and when I don't hear...

Anyone See This at Laguna Seca?

Garmin said this product had its debut at their tent in Laguna Seca on the weekend of July 22/23 www.garmin.com/products/zumo/ Did any of our Captains see this device and have any first impressions they can share? I like Garmin's products and this appears to go head-to-head with the TomTom Rider.

    REAR DRIVE HUB DESIGN PROBLEM

Gary, Good information - thanks for the post. Very helpful to old 'torque monsters' like me. Hmmm, was that 3 grunts or 4 before it's goodantight?

    Rider/Pillion Intecom

Nigel, I opted for a ChatterBox GMRS X1. It's self-contained, runs on it's own rechargeable battery and can be worn on your belt or clipped to the helmet. It accepts iPod (or equivalent), cellphone, and pillion headset along with providing bike-to-bike communication (it uses something in the...

    Rear dresser bars w/Beetle Bags?

Has anyone found a source for a rear dresser bar that will fit the bike with the Corbin Beetle Bags? My dealer showed me the Beetles installed on another Rocket (I don't get my bags/bike for another week) and it's clear that the Triumph bars won't work; he didn't have any suggestions other than...
