    Scott, Not necessary to cut. Remove the bulb assembly by twisting and let it hang out of the way. After installing the bracket, the bulb assembly can be re-installed through the hole on the bracket. Dorsey Tucson, AZ

    I have jacked mine up several times and had no problems. Just make sure the jack is fully under before jacking. Skypig
