    Au revoir Rocket III

After 17 years of ownership it's time to sell my 2005 Rocket. It's been an amazing bike and has taken me on some wonderful adventures but the years are taking their toll. A worn out hip makes it uncomfortable and a little unsafe to push the beast around. This has led to a few changes including...

    TuneBoy drivers 3.9.9.8

I haven't used TuneBoy for a few years and have a newer laptop now. I used my original CD to re-install the software but the drivers aren't working. Even the drivers off the CD (says they are corrupted). I assume that they are not backwards compatible? Bottom line is I need drivers! There is...

    Hand made lever?

At last years RAA Sparky pointed out that my clutch arm is different to most and appears to be manually machined as opposed to the rounded cast ones on most Rockets. Mine is a very early model, supposedly number 12 built. Anybody else with an ‘05 have the same?

    Last ride of the season?

I took advantage of the record warm weather and went for a spin. On the way home I filled the tank with ethanol free gas and added a bit of stabiliser as this is likely the end of this years riding.

    Oil leak from tank

It's almost time to awaken the beast from its hibernation. I just noticed a lot of oil under and near the bike. It looks like the front O-ring at the bottom of the oil tank is leaking. I think I need new ones part number T3600134? 3 required?

    Same old thing!

Just finished packing and tying the sleeping bag on. Tomorrow I'm off for the weekend with fifteen of my mates, heading to the Old Bastards Rally in the Rideau Lakes. We have rented 3 cabins. Its 'orrible but somebody has to do it. I wanted to invite some R3 buddies along but none of those...

new album of dealer assembling my Rocket from the crate

I just found some old pics of when my Rocket was assembled out of the crate in 2004. This was the first one in Canada. Might be nice for those that haven't seen it to know how it is shipped and put together.

    Insanity?

I’m not sure if I’ve completely taken leave of my senses but today a great deal on two Norton Commando Frames led me into an Aladdin’s cave of Britbike treasures and I somehow ended up owning a pile of engines, gearboxes, forks, cylinders, heads, alternators etc., etc. along with a pair of...
