    car mufflers

I used some universal car silencers on mine. One either side, welded up some brackets for them and got someone to make me a new link pipe with a clamp fitting on to the header. Sounds fine.

Hi Im after a tuneecu tune for one of the earlier rocket 3s with the 3 pipe exhaust system. Bike has TOR silencers fitted and a decat box. Air filter is standard. The maps I am after are: Power-TrippR3 TORS underseat.hex 20050TOR_Dyno.hex The download links on the tuneecu website are no...

Buy or not a reverted Vmax 1700 Cafe Racer?

Looking at the background in the photos and the bike appears to be in a well organised workshop, things kept neat and tidy, diagrams up on the white board etc. Seems like a methodical approach has been taken by someone that pays attention to detail. Parts of the frame taped up etc to protect...

    Un-natural exhaust thoughts....

Its a TTS header and a pair of "jap style" stainless car backboxes with some simple brackets made up from stainless plate. The pipework feeding the silencers from the header was made by a fabricator locally. It was 3 90 degree mandrel bends cut down slightly to provide the correct angles and a...

    Un-natural exhaust thoughts....

Hmm, do you mean perhaps something like this setup? My rear mudguard is cut back so the pipes would probably line up roughly at the height of a standard one. The rest of the pipes feeding the silencers got wrapped after the photos were taken. It thickens them out and gives them a nice chunky...

    TTS header vs standard

Yup I have had it fitted and running for a while now. It feeds into a pair of 2.5inch bore silencers. Sounds great and a nice power improvement through the rev range, especially at the upper end of things where it keeps pulling hard to redline rather than running out of puff like the original...

New Avon Cobra Chrome - any good

I had a cobra chrome rear fitted recently due to getting a screw through my last avon cobra in an awkward place. It had only covered 15 miles as well from being fitted! So the comparison is between a new cobra, and a new cobra chrome. I am running the normal avon cobra 140/75 front tyre still...

    Odometer Problem

Yup it happened to me once after plugging tuneecu in. Mileage went from around 20k to 111000k. I just made a note of the reading before and after so I could keep track of the real mileage in the future.

    My Carpenter 240 build

It allows the inlet and exhaust overlap to be fine tuned by tiny amounts to get things exactly how you want them.

Does anybody have a version of tuneecu OLDER than 2.5.8 available

I downloaded it but it fails to decompress and says that the zip is invalid. Tried another unzipping tool as well but it seems the archive is corrupted.

Does anybody have a version of tuneecu OLDER than 2.5.8 available

Hi, been having lots of trouble connecting to my rocket, tried connecting things in different orders, tried charging the battery, running off a car battery, having a battery charger hooked up at the same time, 2 batteries connected together in parallel and connecting a running bike to the...

the rocket is almost running again....sort of

I'm curious as to what sensor I actually had plugged into the map connector.will take a look tomorrow when I'm topping off the coolant. Need to hook up the battery charger to bike and see if that raises the voltage enough for tuneecu to connect, it's like trying to work blindfolded without that...

the rocket is almost running again....sort of

Today I double checked tdc with a stick down the plughole on cylinder 1. (not exactly accurate without a dial gauge but close enough for what I needed. It matched the timing marks almost bang on. I put the bike back together, checked all the map sensor lines again, removed and cleaned the...

the rocket is almost running again....sort of

Couldnt get tuneecu to connect today so was unable to get any sensor readings. I took the battery out of my car (its nearly new as I replaced it last month) and charged it up. Will put that on the bike tomorrow and see if I can get tuneecu to connect. I was getting as far as the bar on the...

the rocket is almost running again....sort of

Had a play with the vacuum lines today and still no joy. I took the valve cover off and went to remove the access port on the front of the engine but it had been rounded off. So off came the radiator and front engine cover again, at least it goes a lot quicker the second time round. This time I...

Im pretty sure the cam timing is correct as I took my time aligning all the marks properly and checked it multiple times. If I dont have any joy with what R-III-R turbo mentioned tomorrow I will have another look at it. I know for certain that the cams are in the correct position relative to...
